Detective Tim Bailey with the Sumner County Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with the Lafayette Police Department, executed a search warrant at 104 Ourtown Court. The search warrant was obtained after authorities received information that Robby Gammon, of the above address, was involved in several break-ins in Sumner County.

According to a report from Lafayette Police Lt. Bryon Satterfield, the same store on Highway 109 was broken into twice between May 2 and May 11 of this year. On both occasions only cigarettes were taken. Also on May 11, a second store reported a break-in in Portland. Nothing was reported missing from this business. Evidence was gathered at the scenes and a video tape showed a male subject. The tape led Detective Bailey to Lafayette.

Lt. Satterfield, LPD Detective Stacy Gann, and Captain Phil Russell and Sumner County Detectives executed the search warrant last week. The vehicle that Gammon was believed to have been driving and the clothing he was believed to have been wearing during the break-ins and attempted break-in were taken by authorities.

Gammon was transported to Sumner County where he was questioned concerning the burglaries and he did reportedly give a statement of his involvement.

He was charged with the burglaries in Sumner County. He was currently on parole in Sumner County for unrelated charges.
