Robert George Heine, 71, of the Sundial Community, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. The Hooper, Nebraska native was born Sunday, May 15, 1932, a son of the late Harry Heine and Anne Parker Heine. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and a retired machine operator for St. Regis Paper Company. On November 19, 1952 he was united in marriage to Mary L. Cox Heine.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Mary L. Heine; a daughter, Vicki Openo; a son, Robert George Heine, Jr., all of the Sundial Community; a sister, Lea Burgeon, West Covina, California; and 4 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Michael David Heine, a daughter, Mary Ann Heine, a brother, and a sister.

The family has chosen cremation and no services are planned at this time.

Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tennessee was in charge of arrangements.
