Missing local girls found early Tuesday morning by MCSD

Two local girls, who were reported missing by their mother last Thursday, were found early Tuesday morning.

After just six days, Macon County Sheriff's Detective Mark Gammons and Macon County Deputy Larry West located Ashley and Alyssa Henderson age 13 and 11 on Lois Lane in Lafayette.

According to the MCSD, the girls stated they left home to just 'get away' . The real reason they left has not been determined.

At press time, Detective Mark Gammons, could release no further information.

The Department of Children's Services is investigation the incident. The children will not been released to the parents until the investigation is complete.
