The Tigerette tennis team defeated Portland last week by a score of 7-2. In singles, Sarah Fitzgerald won by a score of 8-0, Melissa Meador won by a score of 8-1, Stephanie Walker won by a score of 8-2, Jessica Allison won by a score of 8-1, Sagan Durham won by a score of 8-3, and Hanna Johnson lost by a score of 5-8. In an exhibition match, Kara Harper won by a score of 8-1.

In doubles, the team of Fitzgerald and Walker won by a score of 9-7, the team of Allison and Harper won by a score of 8-5, and the team of Durham and Johnson lost in a tie breaker by a score of 8-9 (6).

In a scrimmage against Clay County, Sarah Fitzgerald won by a score of 8-3 and Stephanie Walker won by a score of 8-2. With the cancellations of the Livingston Academy game due to unavailable courts and Davidson Academy due to the lockdown ot the schools, the Tigerettes record improves ot 3-1 for the season, 3-0 in district play. The Tigerettes will host East Robertson Monday, host Trousdale County Tuesday, travel to Davidson Academy Wednesday, travel to Springfield Thursday, and host Greenbrier Friday in five important district games.

Tigers defeat Clay County in tennis match

The Tiger tennis team defeated Clay County 6-0 ion the only match held last week. In singles, Jake Asay won by a score of 8-4, Jordan Carver won by a score of 8-1, Jesse Miller won by a score of 8-1, and Colby Thrasher won by a score of 8-5.

In doubles, the team of Asay and Carver won by a score of 8-3 and the team of Miller and Thrasher won by a score of 8-1. The Tigers improve to 4-2 for the season, 3-1 in district play.
