Funeral services for Wayne Johnson Cothron, age 58, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Lafayette, were conducted Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Jerry Smith and Larry Johnson officiating. Pallbearers were Terry Qualls, Tim Qualls, Barry Cothron, Randy Robinson, Bobby Hesson, Robbie Yealey, Jeremy Robinson, Josh Robinson and Cory Hesson. Interment followed in Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Wayne Cothron passed away Sunday, January 4, 2004 in Indianapolis.

A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Monroe and Susie Jones Cothron. He married the former Georgie Dickens who survives. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Wayne worked 37 years as a tool grinder for Rexnord Company and retired in 2001. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Local 1150 and a member of Longfork Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by sons, Darrell W. (Lisa) Cothron, Shawn D. Cothron, Brock A. (Sara) Cothron; sister, Patsy (Jerry) Qualls of Lafayette; and nine grandchildren.
