According to a report, from Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Terry Seay, Beverly Keith Cain was traveling west on state route 262, the Willette road, when she lost control of the vehicle, a 1992 Toyota. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment. After impact with the embankment the vehicle struck a utility pole and came to rest.
Cain was transported to Macon County General Hospital and then airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she later died.
Cain was a native of Monroe County, KY, the daughter of Durell and Bonnie Brasel Keith of the Willette Community. She was married to Carl Cain, who survives. She was a homemaker.
Survivors, besides her parents and husband, include her sister Judy Hix, brother Timothy Hix, and nephew Tim Hix.
She was buried in the Keith-Stride Cemetery.
This marks the fifth fatality for Macon County in the year 2003. This was one of seven injury accidents investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol for the week of November 30 through December 6. Trooper Terry Seay was assisted by members of the Macon County Sheriff's Department.
