At their November 13th meeting, Mayor Randel Gregory and the other members of the Red Boiling Springs City Council, voted to retain the appointment of Danny Knight as RBS Fire Chief, Jimmy Morgan as Assistant Chief, Jimmy Roark as Assistant Chief and Treasurer, Jeff Gentry as Captain, Travis Davis as Captain, Todd Geary as Lieutenant, Billy Whitley as Lieutenant, Jesse Gentry as Secretary, Erik Tuck as Sergeant At Arms, and Phillip Snow as Training Officer.

The Council also voted to approve two new fire hydrants to be placed at opposite ends of the Gamaiel Road, one at the intersection of Bethany and Gamaiel, and the other on the other side of Winkler's Road, near the Kentucky line.

Mayor Gregory brought up the idea of requiring gun permits and suggested RBS model a permit policy on that of the City of Lafayette.

Council member and Dog Catcher Bilbrey said the loose dog problem is a little better. However, he said he has no means of enforcing the new dog ordinance and no where to put loose dogs when caught. He asked for help from the RBS Police Department, but was told by other council members that it was his responsibility as Dog Catcher to enforce the ordinance.
