Weather permitting, power will be interrupted to all areas served from the Red Boiling Springs substation beginning at midnight on Saturday night, September 27, 2003. The affected areas include Red Boiling Springs and Hermitage Springs.

The outage has been scheduled so that the load can be transferred to the new transformer. Switching the load will allow TCEMC to tear out the old transformer and begin work on adding the second new transformer. We will be scheduling an additional short outage when the new transformer is ready to go on line. At that time, the upgrades at the RBS substation will be complete. For the outage this weekend, TCEMC expects to have power restored to all areas by 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
