MCHS Tigers to participate

Lebanon High's Nokes-Lasater Field will be the site of a pre-season football jamboree, Friday, Aug. 22. The inaugrual event has been organized by the Lebanon High Blue Devil Alumni Association and is being presented by The Wilson Post.

A flurry of activity will get under way at 5 p.m. with junior pro teams, junior high and freshman squads competing. Varsity action will feature Macon County High on Siegel High of Rutherford County for two quarters followed by Lebanon High and Dickson County in the finale.

All proceeds will go toward finishing construction of a brand new, three-bay storage building and garage adjacent to the Lebanon High field house. Former Blue Devils Jeff Lasater and Jeff Vaught are serving as co-chairs of the jamboree. They invite all former Blue Devil football players to join their organization and to volunteer for the jamboree.

Any former LHS player interested in joining the organization should call Bob Lea at 615-443-0400. The 1953 Lebanon High football team will be recognized between periods of the jamboree.
