Nancy A. O'Conner, 37, Lindsey Hollow Road, Gallatin TN, was charged on June 8 by Lafayette Police Officer Junior Fields with possession of scheduled III, driving under the influence 2nd offense, possession of legend drug, driving on revoked 1st offense, insurance responsibility, felony evading, and reckless endangerment.

According to Officer Fields' report, while on patrol on Highway 52 he came in contact with a 1987 Buick with a headlight out. He conducted a routine traffic stop and spoke with the driver, O'Conner.

He stated that he requested her drivers license and she said that she did not have a license because they were expired from Illinois.

Officer Fields then reported that he requested her name and was told Karen A. Hill, age 36. He then requested her social security number and she allegedly stated that she did not remember her number.

He then advised dispatch of his situation and requested that the information she did provide be checked in the state of Illinois and Tennessee. No information was found in either state.

Officer Fields requested that she step out of the vehicle at which time she allegedly stated, "Don't do this to me."

LPD Lt. Matt Looper arrived on the scene to offer assistance. Looper then requested that O'Conner step from the vehicle. At this time the report stated that O'Conner said no and fled from the officers in her vehicle.

Officer Fields and Lt. Looper then gave pursuit to the vehicle. Lt. Looper attempted to get in front of O'Conner's vehicle at which time O'Conner ran off the road into the parking lot of Primitive Weapons. When she traveled back on the road, her vehicle struck Lt. Looper's patrol car.

O'Conner then allegedly stopped her vehicle and advised that she was injured. EMS was advised of the accident and arrived on the scene.

O'Conner reported to Officer Fields her real information and she also allegedly stated that she had been using crack cocaine during the day.

O'Conner was transported to Macon County General Hospital by Macon County EMS where a blood test was obtained. Officer Timothy Hackett traveled with O'Conner to the hospital.

O'Conner was released by the hospital and transported to the Macon County Justice Center.

Approximately 62 prescription and non prescription drugs were found in her vehicle.

She remains in custody on a $6750 bond and will appear in General Sessions court date set for July 9.
