According to a report from the Macon County Sheriff's Department, Scottie Key was apprehended west of Oklahoma City, Thursday, May 22, just three days after the alleged shooting incident.

He was arrested by United States Marshals at a truck stop and is currently waiting extradition to Monroe County.

Key was involved in an alleged incident involving authorities from two states. Key and his juvenile brother were reportedly shooting at Monroe County Deputy Darrell Ford and attempted to run over Monroe County Sheriff Jerry Gee.

Roadblocks were established but were unsuccessful.

Within thirty minutes the juvenile was apprehended at a nearby residence by Macon County Constable Sammy Morgan.

Key remained on the run until Thursday, May 22.

When Key returns to Monroe County, he will have several charges against him.

Look for a complete list of charges and court dates in upcoming issues of the Macon County Times.
