Surveillance showed man entering
residence
with a gun
Macon County Sheriff's Detective Robin Gregory arrested Billy Bandy, age 24, Thursday, May 8, after he allegedly entered a home on Wells Drive with the reported intent to burglarize the residence.
According to a report from Detective Gregory, Anna Keen reported on May 1, that several guns, jewelry, and miscellaneous items had been stolen from her residence on New Harmony Rd.
In a second report, Bill Duffer reported that several guns and knives were taken from his residence on Barber Hollow Road Thursday, May 8. A suspect was established and surveillance began on the suspect.
Macon County Sheriff's Detective Gregory and Detective Jimmy Hardin observed Billy Bandy reportedly enter a residence on Wells Drive carrying a rifle. Sgt. Darrell Taylor and Sgt. Bennie Hudgens were called for back up and Bandy was arrested at that residence.
A search was conducted at Bandy's residence where several stolen guns were located. Further information led authorities to believed the remaining guns were at a residence on Dycus Circle.
Bandy is scheduled to appear in General Sessions court May 14, at 9 a.m. He was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary and two counts of theft over $1000. He also violated his probation. He is being held at the Macon County Justice Center on a $30,000 bond.
