The Westmoreland, TN native was born June 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Thomas D. Johnson and Vada V. Meador Johnson. She was a homemaker, a member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, TN, and wife of the late George Calvin Grisham, Sr.
Funeral services for Betty Jo Grisham were held Tuesday, April 15, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Elder Doug Curtis and Elder Cary Kemp officiating. Burial was in Siloam Cemetery. Pallbearers were Otis England, Bobby England, Ricky Gammons, Todd Swindle, Wayne Brawner, David Brawner, Shane Crutcher, and David Crutcher.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Ricky Harper, Lafayette, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, George C., Jr. and Lisa Ann Grisham, Unionville, TN; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Sue Johnson, Centerville, TN; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Arnold Hendricks, Columbia, TN, Juanita & Olie Brawner, Westmoreland, TN, Sherry & Billy Gammons, Lafayette, TN, and Judy and David Crutcher, College Grove, TN; a sister-in-law, Judy Johnson, Centerville; seven grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Garland Johnson.
Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN, was in charge of arrangements.
