Residents from each district are allowed to take trash and other unwanted items to the transfer station for disposal at no cost to them on their designated day. The transfer station is a county owned trash disposal facility located on Heady Ridge Road in Red Boiling Springs. Each person is required to obtain a colored pass for the correct date to present to the transfer station in order not to be charged for disposal. These passes can be obtained from their commissioner or at the County Executive's office during business hours.
The districts for the third Saturday are: District 3 Vernon Biggs, 666-8972; District 4 Jeff Hughes 666-7207; District 15 Melburn Cothron 633-4186; District 16 Helen Hesson 666-4330, and District 20 Floyd Ray Sullivan 644-2586.
