The Red Boiling Springs High School Bulldogs ended their season last week during the second round of the Region 4A tournament.
The RBSHS Bulldogs came out slow in the game, coming up short in the first quarter as Celina jumped out to a 14 - 10 lead.
By the end of the first half, the Celina Bulldogs had gone up 25 - 18.
Despite a fourth quarter surge, outscoring Celina 20 - 17, the RBSHS Bulldogs could not make up the difference.
Celina ended up winning the game by a final of 56 - 50.
Marcus Hudson led the scoring for the RBSHS Bulldogs with 16 points.
Daniel Meador tossed in 12 points and Kevin Sullivan added 10 points of his own.
Also scoring in the final RBSHS game of the year were Jay Mason with 5, Mark McClure with 3, Randy Rice with 2, and Joe England with 2.
The Bulldogs ended their history-making season with a record of 27 -4, the second best record in Bulldog Basketball history. They claimed the District 7A season championship for the first time, going undefeated in district action during the season. In addition, the Bulldogs claimed their first ever District Tournament championship to advance to the Regional tournament the 1sty place team from District 7A.
