Funeral services for Page Durham, age 89, a resident of Knollwood Manor, Lafayette, TN, were conducted Monday, Feb. 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Reverend Steve Nelson officiating. Pallbearers were Bill Speck, George Tucker, Billy Wilson McClard, Dennis Hix, William Walton and Buford Wix. Interment was in Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Page passed away Friday evening, February 14, 2003 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette.

A native of Allen County, KY, he was the son of the late Leslie and Amy Dewitt Durham. He was married to the former Elizabeth Stone Phalan on July 4, 1936, who preceded him in death on October 22, 1986. He was the owner and operator of the former Durham's 5 and 10 Store in Lafayette from 1947 through 1963, built and operated the Ellington Motel in Lafayette from 1963 until 1975, served as mayor of Lafayette from 1968 through 1980, elected to the Lafayette City Council in 1986 serving one term, was a member of the Lafayette First Baptist Church, Lafayette VFW, and was a veteran.

Survivors locally include several nieces and nephews.
