This past Saturday, there were 8 basketball games held with some good games taking place. In the 6-8 girls division, the 1st game had Jan Ellis's team winning over William Tuck's team 10-8. For Coach Ellis, Savanna Harper and Hannah Borders had 3 points each and Mary Belton and Loraine Ilia had 2 points each. For Coach Tuck, Katelyn Bean had 4 points and Alyssa Tuck and Ashley Spivey had 2 points each. In the 2nd game, Jeff Gregory's team won over Christine Harris's team 21-17. For Coach Gregory, Kelsey Gregory had 10 points, Courtney Sliger and Terra Pryor had 4 points each and Whitney Wilburn had 3 points. For Coach Harris, Haley Harris had 6 points, Michaela Thompson had 4 points, Katilyn Cartwright had 3 points and Connor Murphy and Ashlyn Smith had 2 points each.

In the 6-8 boys division, the 3rd game had Brad Garmon's team defeating Connie Shrum's team 24-12. For Coach Garmon, Trey McPherson had 8 points, Kyle Garmon had 6 points, Daniel York had 4 points and Skylier Lee and Austin Craighead had 2 points each. For Coach Shrum, Mason Harris had 4 points, Jalyn Lankford, Josh O'Hair, Sebastian Brawner and Mayson Shrum had 2 points each. In the 4th game, Spencer Shrum's team won over Rick Clark's team 25-21. For Coach Shrum, Dallas Grace had 20 points, Shane Hesson and Dillon White had 2 points each and Jacob McClard had 1 point. For Coach Clark, Peyton Clark had 9 points, Garrett Crowe had 8 points, and Zachary Polston had 4 points.

In the 9-12 girls division, Tonya Wells's team defeated Scott Key's team 11-8. For Coach Wells, Lauren Clardy had 5 points and Chelsea Robinson, Calamity Jane Coley and Courtney Patterson had 2 points each. For Coach Key, Tori Key, Sarah Belton, Heather Tucker and Niki Pedigo all had 2 points each. In the 6th game, Tim Farley's team was over Dustin Marr's team 32-12. For coach Farley, Ciara Green had 12 points, Jaclyn Jordan had 8 points, Jessica Reeves and Brianna Farley had 4 points each and Elizabeth Patterson and Kara Flippin had 2 points each. For Coach Marr, Kayla Sutton had 6 points, Chandra Brooks had 2 points and Kristin Gregory and Janna Parker had 1 point each.

Starting the 9-12 boys division was the 7th game of the day and it had Christina Carnahan's team over Michael Evetts's team 21-11. For Coach Carnahan, Joseph Woodard and Max Manion had 8 points each, Zachary Kempf and Zachary Carter had 2 points each and Cory Dycus had 1 point. For Coach Evetts, Jordan Lankford had 6 points, Nathan Rogers had 3 points, and Nathan Driver and Josh Brawner had 1 point each. The 8th game of the day had Gary Kepley's team winning over Michael White's team 18-13. For Coach Kepley, Keith O'Hair, Jonathon Roark and Justin Roark had 4 points each and Matthew French, Terry Key and Ben Cook had 2 points each. For Coach White, Tyler Eller and Caleb Darnell had 4 points each, Craig White had 3 points and Shawn Kemp had 2 points.

There will be 4 more weeks of basketball action on Saturday afternoons so everyone needs to try and make plans to attend some of these games.
