On January 24, the MCHS Tigerettes traveled to Greenbrier for a district game. MCHS won the game by a final of 48 - 28.
The Tigerettes were led in scoring in the game by Trisha Carver with 16 and Carrie Oldham with 12.
Other Tigerettes scoring in the game included Jocosa Scott with 6, Heather Moore with 5, Jody West with 3, Courtney Thomas with 3, Kristan Wix with 2, and Pee Wee Troutt with 1.
Trisha Carver also led the team in rebounds, grabbing 9. Carrie pulled down 8 in the game and PeeWee Troutt managed 4.
Heather Moore led the team in assists in the game, with Trisha Carver with 4, and Jody West and Jocosa getting credit for 2 assists in the game.
Jocosa Scott led the team in steals with 6. Other Tigerettes credited with steals in teh game included Heather Moore with 3 and Courtney Thomas and Jody West with 1 each.
On Tuesday, the Tigerettes hosted East Literature in their Homecoming. The Tigerettes jumped out early in the game, going up 28 - 03 in the first quarter. The MCHS Blue and White went on to win the game by a final of 66 - 20.
The Tigerettes were led in scoring by Jocosa Scott with 16 points.
Also hitting in double digits in the game were Heather Moore with 12 and Carrie Oldham with 10 points.
Other Tigerettes throwing in points in the game were Jody West with 8, Trisha Carver with 6, Courtney Thomas with 4, Kristan Wix with 4, Whitney Thomas with 3, Karetha Perrigo with 2, and Brandi Sircy with 2.
Carrie Oldham led the team in rebounds with 8. Also grabbing rebounds in the game were Trisha Carver with 6, and PeeWee Troutt, Kristan Wix and Courtney Thomas with 3 rebounds each.
Jody West led the team in assists with 8, followed by Courtney Thomas, Heather Moore, and Chelsea Compton with 3 assists each and Kristan Wix with 2 assists.
Heather Moore had 8 steals in the game with Kristan Wix claiming 2 steals.
On Thursday, MCHS faced off against the Portland Lady Panthers.
MCHS jumped out to an early lead, going up 13 - 11 in the first quarter. The Tigerettes extended their lead to 29 - 23 by the half. The Tigerettes went on to win the game by a final of 59 - 36.
Macon County made 12 three-pointers in the game on their way to the win. Jocosa Scott nailed 6 of the 12 three-pointers to lead the Tigerettes in scoring with 22 points.
Trisha Carver added 15 points and Heather Moore scored 12 points in the game.
Also scoring for MCHS were Jody West with 6, Carrie Oldham with 2, and Peewee Troutt with 2.
On Friday night, the Tigerettes traveled to RBS for the cross-county match-up between the Tigerettes and the Lady Dawgs.
The Tigerettes jumped out to an early lead, going up 15 - 7. By the half, the Tigerettes had extended their lead to a commanding 33 - 14.
Third quarter action had the Tigerettes going up 47 - 20.
The final quarter of action in the game, saw the Lady Bulldogs outscore MCHS 11 - 8 to make the final in the game MCHS 55 - 31.
Carrie Oldham led the Tigerettes in scoring with 17 points, all in the first half of action.
Also scoring in double digits in the game were Heather Moore with 12 points and Jocosa Scott with 10 points.
Other Tigerettes putting points on the scoreboard included Trisha Carver with 6, Kristan Wix with 6 and Peewee Troutt with 4.
Next up for MCHS will be a home game this Friday night against David Lipscomb and another home game next Tuesday against Smith County. Both games have a 6:30 p.m. tip-off time.
