Lafayette Lioness Lions Club chartered

The Lafayette Lioness Club that has served the Macon County and Lafayette area for the last several years began a new mission this past Monday night during a Charter Night Program held at the Sally Wells Building.

The Lafayette Lioness Club has received a charter to become the first Lafayette Lioness Lions Club in the state.

Lions District Governor Jim Austin was on hand to install the officers of the new organization and to president the organization its official charter. The formation of the new club has been overseen by Guiding Lions BJ and Carolyn Blankenship and has been sponsored by the Lafayette Lions Club.

Charter officers of the Lafayette Lioness Lions Club include President Pat Bailey, Vice President Gwen Linville, Secretary Monica Gann, Treasurer Carolyn Mandrell, and Tail Twister and Lion Tamer Suzi Cherry.

Directors of the organization include One Year Director Pat Wilburn, Two Year Director Joann Birdwell, and Three year Director Judy Blankenship.

Lafayette Lioness Lions Club Charter Members included Amy Asay, Pat Bailey, Brownie Barton, Joann Birdwell, Judy Blankenship, Glenda Brown, Angie Burgener, Linda Capps, Carol Cherry, Suzi Cherry, Brenda Coley, Janice Gammons, Monica Gann, Kathy Hardin, Annice Jones, Millie King, Gwen Linville, Linda Maggart, Carolyn Mandrell, Joann Roark, Mary Rogers, Ercie Sisco, Elizabeth Swindle, Gladys Swindle, Donna Warner, Pat Wilburn, Ronda Worsham, Veronda Jenkins, Jennifer McGuffey, and Georgia McClard. Barbara Blankenship is an associate member of the organization.
