Funeral services for Johnnie Wayne Young, age 46, of 106 Elzie Williams Road, Red Boiling Springs, TN, were conducted Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Bro. Scott Nesbitt and Bro. Junior Nesbitt officiating. Honorary pallbearers were all of the employees of Arvin Meritor Corporation. Active pallbearers were Roy Young, William Butram, Denzil Cherry, David Newberry, Tony Tucker, and Jackie Nash. Interment was in the Whitley Cemetery.

Johnnie Wayne Young passed away Tuesday evening, Jan. 7, 2003, at Carthage General Hospital in Carthage, TN.

A native of Macon County, TN, he was the son of John and Evelyn Brooks Young of Red Boiling Springs. He was a tow motor driver for Arvin Meritor Corp. in Gordonsville with 12 years of service and was a member of the Christ Church in Defeated.

Survivors besides his parents include: devoted companion, Debbie Sadler; son, Nathan Young; and sister, Jo Ann (Tracy) Gentry, all of Red Boiling Springs, TN.
