Lady Bulldogs defeat TCHS, drop games to MCHS and Friendship

The Red Boiling Springs Lady Bulldogs stepped on the floor last Monday night to face off against a very tough opponent - Friendship Christian.

Despite a strong effort by the Lady Dawgs, the Friendship Christian team won the game by 13. The final was RBSHS 45 - Friendship Christian 58.

Kacey Colter led the team in scoring in the Friendship Christian game with 13 points. Also hitting in double digits in the game was Cherine Dickens, who managed 11 points.

Other Lady Bulldogs putting point son the board were Dee Smith with 7, Stacey Colter with 6, Whitney Jordan with 5, and Emily Clark with 3.

Dickens and Smith led the team in rebounds, with each grabbing 5 in the game.

Clark led the team in assists on the night, with 4 and Jordan managed 3.

Kacey Colter had 2 steals in the game.

On Tuesday night, the Lady Dawgs returned home to host Trousdale County.

The Lady Dawgs defeated the TCHS Lady Jackets by a final of 51 - 48.

Kacey Colter led the Lady Dawgs in scoring with 13 points.

Cherine Dickens also hit in double digits to end the game with 12 points.

Other Lady Dawgs scoring in the game included Whitney Jordan with 9, Stacey Colter with 8, Dee Smith with 4, Emily Clark with 3, and Sarah Jones 2ith 2.

Dickens led the team in rebounds with 6, followed by Jordan with and Jones with 4.

Clark was credited with 5 assists and Kacey Colter had 4.

The Colter twins, Stacey and Kacey, turned in identical performances in the category of steals, taking the ball away from the Lady Jackets three times each.

On Friday night, the Lady Dawgs traveled to MCHS to face off against the MCHS Tigerettes. RBSHS dropped this non-district game by a final of 78 - 49. See the related article for details.

The Lady Dawgs record currently stands at 3-2.

The next games for RBSHS will see them host Celina on December 3, travel to Pickett County on Friday, December 6, and then to Gordonsville on December 10.
