The first meet for the MCHS teams was held on Tuesday, September 17, at Kenwood High School in Clarksville.
A total of thirteen girls cross country teams competed in the event. The Macon County Girls Cross Country team finished the race tied for seventh place overall.
Host school Kenwood took 1st place, with 48 points, followed by Clarksville, John Paul II, Montgomery Central, Rossview, Northeast, Davidson Academy, Creek Wood, Fairview, MACON COUNTY, McEwen, Nashville Christian, and Trigg County.
Senior Mary Brown led the MCHS Girls Cross Country, taking third place overall with a time of 21 minutes, 23 seconds.
Brown was followed by Tigerette teammates Rosemary Childress, in 32nd place with a time of 25 minutes, 18 seconds; Jenny Thompson in 40th place with a time of 26 minutes, 3 seconds and Tiffany Spuregeon in 43rd place with a time of 26 minutes, 40 seconds. Also competing in the event was MCHS Senior Rachel Story.

Rosswood took 1st place, with 40 points, followed by Kenwood, Clarksville, John Paul II, Davidson Academy, Montgomery Central, MACON COUNTY, Clarksville Academy, Greenbrier, Creek Wood, Nashville Christian, McEwen, and Northeast.
Kyle Mahaney led the MCHS Boys Cross Country, taking fourteenth place overall with a time of 18 minutes, 55 seconds.
Mahaney was followed by Tiger teammates Billy Gregory in 42nd place with a time of 21 minutes, 57 seconds Michael Taylor in 45th place with a time of 22 minutes 27 seconds; Matt Tuck in 55th place with a time of 23 minutes, 32 seconds; Taylor Constant in 61st place with a time of 24 minutes, 11 seconds; Jake Pedigo in 69th place with a time of 25 minutes; and Dustan Johnson in 70thpalce with a time of 25 minutes.
Two MCHS runners competed in the Junior varsity event. Brian Spencer and Jeff Thompson claimed 34th and 35th place respectively. Spencer had a time of 30 minutes, 17 seconds and Thompson finished with a time of 35 minutes, 43 seconds.
On Saturday, September 21st, MCHS Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed in the Tennessee Classic held at Steeplechase Course.
Team totals from the Tennessee Classic had not been posted as of late Monday night, September 23.
Senior Mary Brown led the MCHS Girls Cross Country, taking 22nd place overall with a time of 20 minutes, 24 seconds.
Also representing the Tigerette cross country team were Tiffany Spurgeon in 115th place with a time of 22 minutes, 55 seconds; Rosemary Childress, in 153rd place with a time of 24 minutes, 15 seconds; Jenny Thompson in 183rd place with a time of 25 minutes, 11 seconds and Rachel Story finishing in 235th place with a time of 29 minutes, 53 seconds.
Kyle Mahaney led the MCHS Boys Cross Country, taking 62nd place overall with a time of 17 minutes, 45 seconds.
Mahaney was followed by Tiger teammates Billy Gregory in 250th place with a time of 21 minutes, 26 seconds Michael Taylor in 255th place with a time of 21 minutes 43 seconds; Matt Tuck in 269th place with a time of 22 minutes, 14 seconds; Jake Pedigo in 275th place with a time of 22 minutes, 23 seconds; Taylor Constant in 276th place with a time of 22 minutes, 23 seconds; and Dustan Johnson in 306th place with a time of 23minutes 53 seconds.
