School enrollment increases for School Year 2002 - 2003

School enrollment has increased by 178 students since last year, according to school enrollment numbers provided by Director of Schools Mike Prock.

Every school in the Macon County School System showed an increase in the number of students, except Lafayette Elementary School.

Current enrollment numbers are the following:

Fairlane Elementary School (Kindergarten and First grade) - 414 students, an increase of 8 students over last year.

Central Elementary School ( Second and Third grades) - 370 students, an increase of 14 students over last year.

Lafayette Elementary School (Fourth and Fifth grades) - 365 students, a decrease of 26 students from last year.

Macon County Junior High School - (Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grades) - 708 students, an increase of 44 students.

Macon County High School - (Ninth - Twelfth grades) - 827 students, an increase of 92 students over last year.

Westside Elementary (Kindergarten - Fifth grade) - 320 students, an increase of 9 students over last year.

Red Boiling Springs Elementary (Kindergarten - Sixth grade) - 395 students, an increase of 16 students over last year.

Red Boiling Springs High School (Seventh - Twelfth grades) - 320 students, an increase of 21 students over last year.
