Funeral services for Allean Hewitt Givens, age 80, of Lafayette, Tn. were conducted Tuesday, July 16, 2002 from the chapel of Phillip Sanderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Jerry Boze officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Carr, Chris Carr, Randy Leonard and Tommy Gordon. Active pallbearers were Clint Perdue, Donny Woodard, Jimmy Dyer, Jimmy Dallas, Ronnie Krantz and Donald Jones. Allean Hewitt Givens passed away Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Macon County General Hospital.

Allean Hewitt Givens was the daughter of Mrs. Bessie Lee Davis Hewitt and the late John Leslie Hewitt. She was married to Edgar Leonard Givens on November 17, 1945, who preceded her in death on February 11, 1994. She was also preceded in death by son Jerry Wayne Givens and brother James Hewitt. She was retired from Formfit Rogers Company in Lafayette.

Survivors besides her mother include: daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Larry Cherry of Lafayette, sister and brother-in-law Melba and Ken Leonard, Murfreesboro, Tn, brother and sister-in-law Arils Gene and Ruby Hewitt and granddaughters Lisa Stankard, Angie Burgener, Delaine Cox and 6 great-grandchildren, all of Lafayette.
