Macon man answers aggravated burglary, DUI charges

A Macon County resident charged with aggravated burglary in Trousdale County and DUI in Macon County appeared in boyh courts recently.

Ronald Edward Litton, Jr., 28, of 54 Ferguson Hill Road in Lafayette, was arrested by Tennessee Highway Patrol Sergeant William "Butch" Avera on June 19 and charged with DUI (2nd offense) in Macon County and aggravated robbery in Trousdale County.

Litton appeared in Trousdale County General Sessions on June 28 to answer the aggravated burglary charge. According to Trousdale County Circuit Court Clerk's office, a public defender was assigned to the case and it was continued to July 26 in Trousdale County General sessions.

Litton also made an appearance in Macon County General Sessions on July 5 to answer the DUI charge against him in connection with the case. According to information provided by the Macon County Circuit Clerk's office, a public defender was assigned to the case and it was continued to 1 p.m. on July 26 in Macon County General Sessions.

Litton stands accused of attempting to rob a liquor store in Hartsville on June 19.
