The RBSHS Bulldogs traveled to Monroe County on Monday. They jumped on Monroe County in the first inning, taking a 2-0 lead. The Dawgs went on to win the game by a final of 8-0.
In the game, Jay Mason went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Tommy McCoy went 2 for 5 with a double and 2 RBIs. Brandon Clark went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Marcus Hudson was on the mound for RBSHS.
The Dogs traveled to Monterey on Tuesday in a huge game for the Digs. Monterey jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first. But the Dogs did not quit in the third. They scored 5 runs to take a 5-2 lead. The Dogs went on to win the game by a final of 6-4. Matt Heady picked up the win.
Tommy McCoy and Chris McCaleb both hit home runs for the Dogs. This win assured the Dogs that they would, at the worst finish second in their district.
On Friday night, the Dogs played a double header. First they played Celina and won the game 7-1. Chris McCaleb pitched the game and struck out 5. He goes to 3-2 on the year.
The second game was against Jackson County. In the bottom of the 5th.Coy Watson singled in a run to make it 4-2, RBSHS's favor. Brandon Clark came up next and singled in two more to make the score 6-2. Clark hit a home run in the bottom of the 6th to end the game and give RBS a 12-2 win. Marcus Hudson won the game. He goes to 3-1 from the mound.
RBSHS goes to 15-11 overall and finish their district schedule with a record of 8-2.
