Since coming to Tennessee, the Titans have become a much loved part of the area and this past Friday, the Titans visited one local school to give something back to the community.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Tennessee Titans have taken to the road in their Titan Caravan. The overall goal of the Caravan remains simple - to thank fans of the mid-south area for supporting the Titans.

The Titan Caravan is scheduled to make 64 stops during a 13 day period between April 5 and April 20. One of those stops was at Lafayette Elementary School.

Fourth and fifth grade students at LES, as well as teachers and faculty, were excited last Friday morning when the Titan Caravan pulled into the school parking lot.

During the stop, the Titan caravan members, Titan broadcast team member and Titans Radio Executive Producer Larry Stone, Titans director of broadcasting Mike Keith, Titan wide receiver Drew Bennett and Team mascot T-Rac focused on a message for the students, "Making Good Choices". This program is presented at elementary schools and focuses on good decision making skills.

Following the school assembly in the Lafayette Elementary School gymnasium and the presentation of the "Making Good choices" program, 48 students (three selected from each classroom) were given the opportunity to meet with Drew Bennett and get an autograph.

Bennett is a wide receiver for the Titans and wears #19. A graduate of UCLA, Bennett was a free agent acquisition for the Titans during their 2001 season.

After working hard during the pre-season camps, Bennett made his way to the Titan roster and became the team's third receiver by mid-season.

In the 14 games that he played, Bennett recorded 24 receptions for 329 yards, with his longest reception being 50 yards, and had 1 touchdown and two special teams tackles. Half of Bennett's receptions last season resulted in third down conversions for the Titans. His 24 receptions were a high for a Titan rookie wide receiver since Chris Sander's 35 receptions during the 1995 season.
