Gospel Meeting

The Lafayette Church of Christ will host a gospel meeting on March 19th through March 22nd. Guest speaker will be Doyle Farris from the Hartsville Pike Church of Christ. Services on March 19th begin with Sunday school at 9:00 a.m., worship at 9:55 a.m., and evening worship at 6:00 pm. Monday through Wednesday worship begins at 7:00 pm. Everyone is invited to attend.

Become a Better You

Bethel Family Worship Center is offering a Support Class on how to “Become A Better You”, based on Biblical Principles for anyone who is struggling to overcome addictions from drugs, alcohol, nicotine, sexual, food depression, anger and fear. This class if offered free of charge, to any person age 18 and older. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed to attend this class due to nature of content of subject matter being discussed. No childcare will be offered. Please do not bring any children to this class. Class will consist of 1(one) hour of teaching and 1 (one) hour of discussion. This class will meet each Tues. beginning Feb. 7, from 6-8pm.

The Macon County Fair Board will meet on Thursday, March 16th, at 6 p.m. in the Bill Speck Building.

PreK/Kindergarten registration held

PreK/Kindergarten registration for the 17-18 school year will be held Friday, April 28th from 8-3 at Fairlane, Westside and RBS Elem. Students starting kindergarten in the fall must turn 5 by Aug. 15th, 2017.

Dulcimer Players wanted

Local scholarship applications are now available for Macon County High School seniors. Some of these scholarships may also be offered to local high school graduates. Winter Book Sale

The Macon County Public Library is having a winter book sale in the Geraldine Hire Community Room located on 311 Church Street, in Lafayette, Tennessee. The sale is open to the public during our business hours, which are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 am – 5:45 pm; Thursday 11:00 am – 7:00 pm; Saturday 8:00 am – 1:45 pm. Arts in Poetry reception

The Macon County Arts Council will host the second annual Arts in Poetry and Prose reception for poets and photographers Sunday, March 19, from 1-3 p.m. at the Macon County Welcome Center, 685 HWY 52 West, Lafayette, TN. Please plan to be there to help honor these artists.

Mt. Hermon Dance

The Macon County Chapter of TN Right To Life will hold its annual Pro-Life High School Oratory Contest on Monday, April 3, 2017.
