Middle Tennessee State’s women are headed to the NCAA tournament after an undefeated run (regular and postseason) through Conference USA — and Macon County’s Jalynn Gregory is a big cog in the Lady Raiders’ engine.
Red Boiling Springs needed all of its offense last Thursday in a 12-11 win over visiting Van Buren County, but had none left the following day at Monterey in a 10-0 loss.
Host Westmoreland never led last Wednesday’s game against visiting Macon County until the bottom of the seventh when the Eagles walked off with a 4-3 win.
