4-H holds end of year celebration 4th and 5th grade students county-wide were given the opportunity to participate in six 4-H club activities this school year. Students were informed they would receive a reward at the end of the year if they participated in at least four of the six activities. Students received lunch from PepARoni’s and a Macon County 4-H T-shirt. Thanks to all the students for their participation and to the teachers for helping promote these activities!

Macon Singers sing into spring The Macon Singers celebrated their third year in Macon County with a 3rd annual Spring Sing Thursday night. The event was held at MCHS auditorium, and featured opening numbers from local band Kinship, and an as-yet-unnamed gospel quintet.
The Macon Singers performed a gospel-heavy set with favorites like “Amazing Grace” (crossed with Pachelbel’s Canon) and Down to the River to Pray.
