TVA reschedules April 27th outage
Weather conditions forced TVA to postpone their outage at the Hartsville Substation that was originally scheduled for Saturday night April 27th. TVA has rescheduled the first outage for Saturday night, May 4th beginning at 11:59 p.m. This outage is to remove the damaged switch on their transmission line. Ground broken for library expansion
Community leaders gathered at the library in Lafayette on Monday to break ground on the expansion project that has been years in the making. The project includes expanded square footage, new roof, and added parking lot space. A school bus caught fire on Tuesday morning while arriving, full of children, at Central Elementary school. The incident occurred at about 7:35 AM. The Macon County Arts Council has just finished the installation of a 12-ft by 16-ft mural on Lafayette Square. The art project was funded by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee through a private donation, and completed by local artist Linda Johnson.
