The Macon County Health Department on Hwy 52 in Lafayette was broken into over the weekend, sometime between closing time Friday and Sunday at about noon. Couple found dead in home in Red Boiling Springs
The Macon County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to Red Boiling Springs on Thursday morning when two people were found deceased in their home. A neighbor of Edo S. Kirby, age 76, and Dennis H. Kirby, age 71, called and reported that they had gone to the home located at 5177 Oak Grove Road and discovered Edo and Dennis Kirby with gunshot wounds. A Red Boiling Springs man was arrested on Wednesday for theft of property over $10,000 after allegedly driving away from his place of work in a company truck.
