Couple found dead in home in Red Boiling Springs
The Macon County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to Red Boiling Springs on Thursday morning when two people were found deceased in their home. A neighbor of Edo S. Kirby, age 76, and Dennis H. Kirby, age 71, called and reported that they had gone to the home located at 5177 Oak Grove Road and discovered Edo and Dennis Kirby with gunshot wounds. A Red Boiling Springs man was arrested on Wednesday for theft of property over $10,000 after allegedly driving away from his place of work in a company truck. Arresting officer Michael Veatch said that on May 8, 2013, Dustin Kellum showed up to work at Performance Feeds in Macon County and was told he could not work. A man was arrested in Red Boiling Springs this week who has multiple outstanding warrants in two other states. Eric Kai Stricklin, age 30, is currently wanted in both Indiana and Alabama. A man was killed instantly after his van crossed the center line and crashed into another vehicle on Hwy 52 Tuesday afternoon.
