Hundreds flocked to Key Park on Wednesday night, June 12, to hear a special community concert given by the Nashville Symphony. The Symphony Under the Stars concert was themed “Dancing in the Moonlight,” and featured tunes as varied as “Begin the Beguine” by Cole Porter, “Raiders March” from Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the classic Can-Can dance song (Offenbach).
The 90+ piece orchestra was conducted by Kelly Corcoran, who also conducted during the symphony’s previous two visits to Macon County.
This community concert series, which provides free public symphony music to communities like ours, is sponsored by Cracker Barrel Foundation, Publix Super Markets Charities, the City of Brentwood, Nashville Scene, The City Paper, and Lightning 100 Independent Radio.
