Westside Elementary Principal David Flynn also spoke to the Lafayette Rotary Club concerning the schools system's new mobile app. It is available for both Apple and Droid Smartphones, and can be downloaded for free by going to your phone's app store, searching for “school connect” and scrolling the screen to find "Tennessee," then "Macon County." Macon County is the first school district in Tennessee to use the School Connect app. Through this app, users are able to receive school dismissal alerts, teacher contact information, calendars, menus, and more.
