Community leaders gathered at the library in Lafayette on Monday to break ground on the expansion project that has been years in the making.
The project includes expanded square footage, new roof, and added parking lot space. It was funded by several sizable donations, including those from Macon County and the TN Secretary of State Library and Archives Department.
