The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Lafayette couple on Monday, January 7 after finding about four pounds of marijuana in their home. Paul Harris Jr., age 42, and Brandy Leigh Harris, age 36, were each charged with one count of Possession of marijuana with the intent to sell (Schedule VI).
TBI public information officer Kristin Helm said that officers executed a search warrant of the residence at 246 Loftis Road as part of an ongoing, “multi-jurisdictional investigation,” the details of which cannot be revealed. Local Macon law enforcement were not involved in the case.
The marijuana, ostensibly for re-sale, was found in the common areas of the home, including the entry hallway, kitchen cabinet, and on the floor of the master bedroom.
The two will be in court on January 16. Each had a bond amount of $25,000.
