Ricky D. Ray of Red Boiling Springs was arrested last Friday on charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, aggravated domestic assault, and reckless endangerment.
Arrest reports state that Ray is accused of driving his red truck into a car that his wife and another woman were in, forcing them off the road. He then allegedly entered the car by the driver’s side, “pulled his wife, Donna Ray, from the vehicle by means of strangulation, and forced Donna Ray into the passenger seat of the red truck.”
The report states that although the woman attempted to escape the vehicle, she was forced back into the truck by Ray, who then allegedly stated “Get out again and I will kill you.” Three other persons were witness to the accident, and two other persons were witness to the incidents following. The man was arrested by Officer Joe Russell.
The case will be heard in general sessions court on June 23; Ray is being held without bail.
