The residents of Antioch Rd. really appreciate all the travelers who have been observing our new 30 mph. speed limit. However, we are sorry to say, there are still many drivers who have excluded themselves by the evidence of the high speeds they continue to drive. In case these drivers are unaware of the new speed limit, the 30 mph signs are posted at the entrance of our road at Akersville and Galen Rds.

We all know that speed limits are established for many reasons. In our area its mostly due to the condition of the road, the terrain and for the overall safety of those who travel them. One would believe that any upright citizen in our county would prefer our Deputy Sheriffs to be out performing other duties instead of monitoring our county roads for speed limit offenders. So please pay attention to the speed limits when you are traveling ALL our county roads. Your life and the lives of others may count on it.
