Gaylon D. Alexander, Jr., age 79, of Westmoreland passed away December 17, 2012. Funeral service will be Friday December 21 at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Bob Haily officiating. Interment will follow at Pegram Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with Austin McClard, James Alexander, Jack Alexander, Chris Cantrell, Charlie Shaw, and Kendall Neal serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday 3-8, Thursday 3-8, and Friday 10 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Alexander was born January 6, 1933 in Davidson County to the late Gaylon D. Alexander, Sr. and Maggie Gertrude Bowers Alexander. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife Mary L. Weatherly Alexander, second wife Agnes Pearl Troutt Alexander, and brother James White Alexander.

He is survived by sons, Jeffrey D. Alexander of Lafayette and Clay Alexander (Donna) of Portland, daughter Shelley McClard of Lafayette, sister Beverly Neal of Goodlettsville, grandchildren, James Alexander (Brittany), Jaska Cantrell (Chris), Jake Alexander (Amanda), and Austin McClard, great-grandchildren, Luke Alexander, Kelsi Harris, Paige Hale, Ashton Cantrell, Abby Alexander, Maddy Alexander, and Wyatt D.
