Normally I reserve this blog to discuss things pertaining to the newspaper but I hope you'll permit me a slight detour today.
Easter is a great holiday and there are many nice things about it. Some folks get Good Friday off of work and school. Family dinners are prepared, and who can forget the great Easter candy - I love peeps!
But there is something more ... Just as with Christmas, I don't want the true, deeper meaning of Good Friday and Easter to slip away.
I think a reminder is as simple as a verse most of us learned as little children in Sunday School.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend.
