Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons announced his selection of Stacy Gann as the next Chief Deputy.

Chief Deputy Danny Fisher has accepted a position with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and will leave the Sheriff's Department in January, 2007.

Stacy Gann is currently a detective with the Lafayette Police Department. The eleven year law enforcement veteran served as a patrolman with the Lafayette Police Department, prior to becoming a detective; and he is certified in criminal investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

“Stacy is a good candidate for the position. He'll be able to meet all the requirements of a Chief Deputy, and his background in investigating with the city will be a real asset to this department,” Sheriff Gammons said.

Gann will step into the Chief Deputy role sometime in mid-January, according to the Sheriff.
