
Dr. Paul Stumb (standing) and Eddie Pawlawski (seated), Dean of the Labry School of Business & Technology and Executive Vice President at Cumberland University, respectively, both attended last week's Rotary Club meeting held Wednesday at noon at the Welcome Center. Dr. Stumb spoke on the new offerings of professional development courses at the local satellite campus in Lafayette. The classes are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Westside Elementary Principal David Flynn also spoke to the Lafayette Rotary Club concerning the schools system's new mobile app. It is available for both Apple and Droid Smartphones, and can be downloaded for free by going to your phone's app store, searching for “school connect” and scrolling the screen to find "Tennessee," then "Macon County." Macon County is the first school district in Tennessee to use the School Connect app. Through this app, users are able to receive school dismissal alerts, teacher contact information, calendars, menus, and more.
