The Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs traveled to Wilson County to take on the Watertown Tigers in the first game of the district tournament. After being defeated twice by the Tigers, the bulldogs almost pulled out the first win of the season.

Neither team scored in the first inning. The second inning, the bulldogs were unable to score and held the tigers to only one run. The third, fourth, and fifth innings, the score remained the same with neither teams scoring any additional runs.

In the sixth inning, Nicholas Deckard got a hit to the fence earning an RBI and putting the bulldogs on the board. The tigers scored two more runs. In the seventh inning, the bulldogs just could not pull out the win. The final score of the game was Watertown 3, RBS 1. The bulldogs played the best game of the entire season. This was senior Matt French’s last game as a RBS bulldog. Matt pitched a great game. He had four strikeouts and made an additional four outs. I wish him nothing but the best of luck in the future. As for the rest of the bulldogs, good luck next year!
