The Red Boiling Springs Jr. High baseball team has had a strong start on their season, going 4 and 0 on wins with their defeat of New Middleton on March 15. This was their second victory in a week over Middleton, and it was a sound beating, with a final score of 10-0.
Bailey Anderson was the starting pitcher for RBS Jr. and struck out 5 batters. Cole Dziekiewicz then closed the final two innings, striking out 3.
Leading the team in batting was Logan Hewitt with 2 singles and an in the park home run, along with Michael Tirjan with 2 doubles and a triple. The team finished the game with zero errors.
They played Gordonsville on Saturday and Watertown on Monday, with a JV game against Lafayette on Tuesday. Reports of these games to come. Players listed below.
