Our 6th Grade Blue Team went undefeated and are the Area Tobacco Bowl Champs, the 4th annual Industrial Bowl Champs, and the 18th annual Patriot Bowl Champs. We want to congratulate all these players and the coaches for a job well done!

On Thursday night they defeated Pickett Co. 36-6. Stats for this game included Tanner Lowhorn with 122 yards, 3 TD’s and 5 tackles; Gene Carman IV had 71 yards, 2 TD’s and 8 tackles; Matt Austin had 70 yards; Logan Grace had 23 yards rushing, 30 yards passing and one TD; Clay Carnahan had a 30 yard touchdown reception; Chris Mickle had seven tackles and Dalton York had six tackles.

Then last Saturday they traveled to Scottsville, KY and won both games. The 1st game had them over Westmoreland 34-0. Gene Carman IV had 175 yards, 4 TD’s and 8 tackles; Matt Austin had 40 yards, 1 TD and 3 tackles; Logan Grace had 42 passing yards; Jedediah Coley had 4 tackles; Dalton York had 3 tackles and two 2-point kicks; Chris Mickle, Ryan Crowson and A.J. Simpson each had three tackles.

The championship game had Macon County over Allen County 24-0. Tanner Lowhorn had 85 yards, 1 TD and 9 tackles; Logan Grace had 37 rushing yards, 1 TD and 30 yards passing; Gene Carman IV had 25 yards, 1 TD and 4 tackles; Dalton York had 9 tackles and three 2-point kicks; Matt Austin had 5 tackles and Chris Minkle and Kameron Dyer had 3 tackles each.

Once again we want to congratulate all these young men and wish them the best of luck next year in Jr. High. We expect big things out of each of you and look forward to watching all of you in the years to come! H
