Opal Marie Bandy Carter, age 85, of Lafayette, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. Funeral Services for Opal Marie Carter were conducted on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Brother Randy Swaffer and Brother Rick Wilson officiating. Dewight Massey and Roger McDonald served as Honorary Pallbearers. George Tucker, Larry Tucker, Larry Wix, Loryn Atwell, Jack Butrum, Don Jent and George Carter served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Opal Marie Bandy Carter was born March 16, 1921 in Macon County, the daughter of the late Herschel W. and Evie Gregory Bandy. She was married to the former Billy Dan Carter in October, 1945, who preceded her in death. She was a retired Office Manager for Tri County Electric and a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by, daughter, Susan McDonald, sister, Mauvis McClard, niece, Larissa Eller, great nephew, Chase Eller all of Lafayette, TN.
