HARRY NEIL KEMP

Funeral Services Harry Neil Kemp, age 80, of the Defeated Creek Community in Smith County, TN were conducted Friday afternoon, April 20, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home in Kempville with Edward Anderson officiating. His family and friends served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Harry Neil Kemp passed away Wednesday morning, April 18, 2007 at the Baptist Hospital in Nash-ville, TN. He was born June 3, 1926 in Smith County, TN, the son of the late Sell and Amie Reece Kemp. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Jackie Kemp, sister, Mila June Kemp, brothers, Bobby Gray and Edward Kemp. He was a truck driver for the Yellow Freight in Nashville, TN with 16 years of service and a World War II veteran serving in the Army and Air Force.

Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Marsha & James Bane Brush Creek, TN; son & daughter-in-law, Marcus & Kathy Kemp, Defeated Creek Community in Smith County, TN; grandsons, Adam and Jeremy Bane, Donaldson, TN, Michael Kemp, Carthage, TN, granddaughter, Tara Dixon and husband, John of Cookeville, TN, Melanie Cothern, Riddleton, TN, Tiffany Kemp, Carthage, TN, great-grandchildren, Ramay & Hannah Ashburn, Jeremy Bane, Jr., Cecilia Anne Bane, Kylie Sunshine & Talon Cothern.
