On Sept. 4, the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs hosted the Bobcats of Pickett County.
The game was well played by both teams and both teams went neck and neck all night as the highest margin of lead all night was eight points.
The Bulldogs were first to post up any points on the board. Pickett County was swift to answer by scoring a touchdown as well, making the score 8-8 after one quarter.
Although the Bobcats were the first to score in the second half, the Bulldogs never got discouraged as they fought their way down the field with their minds set on winning. With time running out in the final quarter, RBS was faced with a 6 point deficit and the challenge to march down field with only one minute in regulation.
With a 4th and one, Red Boiling Springs connected with a pass in the end zone with 1.6 seconds left to play. The scored was tied 22-22, and after a extra point attempt, the Bulldogs took a 23-22 win.
