In the girls’ race, Macon Co. and Ellis tied with 34 points. Abby Kepley broke the tie with her fourteenth place finish over Ellis’s sixth runner in sixteenth place. Macon Co. finished in first place; Ellis was second; Jo Byrns and Merrol Hyde did not have enough runners to have a team score. Some members of the team will participate in Makin’ Macon Fit on Saturday, September 12. Then, the team will travel to Milton, TN to participate in the Milton Invitational on Saturday, September 19.
